GAIA Comments on the Chair’s Text- April 2025
- Plastic -The treaty text proposed by the INC Chair at the end of the INC-5 (Chair’s Text) is the baseline for consultations taking place during the intersessional period until negotiations formally resume at the INC-5.2 in August 2025 and has been accepted as a basis for negotiations moving forward. The Chair’s Text needs significant adjustments to yield an effective plastics treaty.
