What’s in Store

Inspiring keynotes. Replicable models of best practices. Interactive workshops, study tours, and networking.

GAIA Asia Pacific is bringing together CSOs, government leaders, policy advocates, businesses, academics, and the public to talk about and inspire action for climate change mitigation through reduction of methane emissions from organic waste.

The Regional Organics Congress highlights organic waste as a critical yet under-addressed contributor to climate change, particularly in the Asia Pacific region. Organic waste is responsible for at least 20% of global anthropogenic methane emissions. With the Asia Pacific region generating vast amounts of organic waste, there is an urgent need to scale decentralized recovery systems, reduce food waste and food loss, and integrate organics management into climate strategies.
