Malabon City, a highly-urbanized city in Metro Manila, Philippines, has to deal with massive flooding during the rainy season, and even during the off-season when heavy rains suddenly occur. These factors made it seem hopeless for the city to take the task of dealing with its daily waste, but its largest and most populated barangay took on the challenge and emerged successful.
