coalitions-c-c-support-argentinaMany of GAIA’s members are national or regional coalitions that bring together local groups working on zero waste communities, stopping incineration, and empowering communities to advocate for fairness and sustainability. These coalitions are able to provide more focused support to local struggles and innovations while linking their expertise to the broader GAIA network.

In addition, GAIA works to connect communities facing similar challenges or advancing similar solutions. For example, members who are fighting incinerators will often request letters to their government from other cities that have had experience with the same incinerator company. GAIA members will review one another’s city zero waste plans, contracts, permits, and more. If you are part of a community looking for support, contact us.
